Information Technology Project Management Practices

The Information Technology Division of Texas State University has developed a scalable Project Management Practice in accordance with DIR’s Project Management Practices Rule. TAC §216. UPPS 04.02.03 outlines the purpose, the governance and responsibilities, the scope and the description of the Practice, and how it interacts with the University’s System Development Life Cycle.

Information Technology has adopted a set of Project Classification Criteria for scaling projects. The following documents are available which describe in detail the processes being followed:

The Information Technology Division has adopted these Project Management Practices based on the principles published in the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) ® Guide.
